Do you have a specific genealogical question that you haven’t been able to answer? Maybe you’re looking for proof of a parent/child relationship; or you want to find out if an ancestor performed military service. We can help!
What is a research report?
A research report includes extensive research and analysis regarding a specific genealogical or historical question. Topics suitable for a research report might include questions like:
- Who was the father of John Smith Jones?
- Are John Smith Jones of Anderson Co, SC and John Smith Jones of Oconee Co, SC the same individual?
- Did John Smith Jones serve in the Civil War?
The research report process starts with defining what you want to learn more about–your question. The process continues with the development of our research plan; completing the research outlined in the research plan; the analysis of the research results; and the creation of the written research report. In some cases, recommendations for additional research are also included in the research report.
Most research report services start at $350. This cost covers the project planning; 10 hours of research and analysis; the written report; and copies of relevant documents. More complex projects may incur additional fees.
